Her bedside manner was exactly what I needed. She was very informative about the procedures and care I would be receiving.
I was transported to Research via ambulance. I was admitted and continued the process of finding out what was going on with me. After arriving to Neuro ICU for observation, I met this nurse. Experiencing severe chest pain and stroke-like symptoms. I was nervous about what I would be experiencing now. Her bedside manner was exactly what I needed. She was very informative about the procedures and care I would be receiving. She made sure I was comfortable and that my needs were being met. She also spoke with my husband who was present, as well as other relatives via the phone, reassuring them I was in “good hands” and would be taken good care of, which was the reassurance they needed. On day 2 of my stay, she was my nurse again and she was being shadowed by a fellow nursing student. I observed her being very patient, educational, and supportive during their time working together. All of these things combined with the overall excellent care I received, made my visit to Research Hospital pleasing, which under the circumstances, is saying a lot.
