Jordan answered every question we had and kept us up to date on anything and everything that was happening to my dad.
My dad had a heart attack. He was transported from Tawas City to Saginaw and eventually was admitted. The person my family talked to first was the nurse who worked with my dad on his arrival. This was my dad's second heart attack; he had his first heart attack about a year and a half before this. The heart attack came on the heels of my dad spending months in the hospital for other health complications. He was a patient at MyMichigan Health (it was St. Mary’s then). We were afraid that this time, my dad would have to be on that same floor, and we were relieved he wasn’t.

My mom explained to Jordan what had happened during my dad's last stay, and he reassured us that we could trust him. I knew he had many other patients, but he treated my dad and my family like we were his top priority. Jordan answered every question we had and kept us up to date on anything and everything that was happening to my dad. He was very supportive and empathetic; he made us feel seen and heard. He always asked us about how we were doing; he knew that this was hard on us in a very different way than it was hard for my dad. He is a shining example of excellent patient care. I believe that the treatment my entire family received from him made a huge difference in my dad’s recovery and our overall recovery as a family.
