Imagine going to the ER in pain knowing something wasn't right and you thought you had a kidney stone. Come to find out you are 41 weeks pregnant and had no clue you were even pregnant. Scary!! I was rushed up to the CBC where I was met by the most amazing staff (every person I came across). It was close to shift change and Jordan was my nurse when I came up. Jordan met us in our room and put me from complete panic mode and terribly scared to a somewhat calmer state. Jordan was in no hurry to get out of there to go home and ensured I was safe and in great hands moving forward. I had so many questions from what is going to happen to how this was going to play out. Jordan quickly pulled up a chair and sat down with me to answer what questions I had then and assured me that everyone on the unit was there to help me. Jordan met with Reagan in my room to go over everything that had transpired over the past hour. Jordan, being a new mom herself, kept it very real for me and explained how labor would play out. She assured me that Reagan was here to help as well and truly eased my mind that I didn't have to replay everything and all the questions. They never skipped a beat. Jordan was back the next morning just after my delivery of my daughter, and it was so refreshing to see her the next morning. She picked up right where she left off and continued to support me in every way until I was moved down to postpartum. I can't say enough about how Jordan's support and knowledge helped me through a very life-changing event that wasn't expected. I had so many emotions, and questions and was terrified as well. Without Jordan, my experience of learning I was pregnant and delivering on the same day would have not been as easy as it was for my daughter and me. I am very blessed to have met Jordan and had her on my special day.
