Jorden R Short, RN

Jorden always goes absolutely above and beyond for his patients; in fact, he makes it a goal during each shift no matter how busy he is. There have been numerous occasions where I have caught him doing small, but very meaningful acts to boost a patient's spirits. The specific example that led me to nominate him was when he took over an hour and a half of his time to sit down with a young patient who was frequently in the hospital. Jorden created trust by sharing a part of his story and had a genuine heart-to-heart about his situation, care, and treatment plan. By doing this he helped the patient regain some hope and motivation.
