Jordan's caring attitude and actions were heartwarming and helped us keep perspective.
When my 57-year-old sister was life-flighted to GS from North Platte it was Jordon who met her first in ICU. Having just been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer two weeks prior, this emergency hospitalization rocked us as a family. Over the next several days S’s condition was always critical but at times she held steady, got worse, got better, and to our sorrow passed eventually. Jordon was a rock for us. We were not always in our finest form, but Jordon always spoke intelligently and straightforwardly with us. She always answered our questions, was patient and was heartbreakingly honest. We needed that, as this was all so sudden and decisions needed to be made. On the morning just before she passed, it was Jordon who stopped on her time off and brought us food - knowing that we had spent all our time with S. Her caring attitude and actions were heartwarming and helped us keep perspective. Jordon’s absolute care of S was exemplary. My brothers and I greatly appreciated that, as sometimes doctors don’t think about the dignity of the patient as they often rush in and out. Jordon was not the only nurse S had, but she had the majority of shifts. The other nurses were just as outstanding, but it was Jordon that stood out to us. Keep it up Jordon and thank you.
