A patient was recently converted to a hospice patient. Jordyn stayed over her shift for hours to share memories with the family, bathe the patient, and listen to his favorite music. The next day the patient passed and even though the patient was no longer hers, she sat bedside with the family and helped them through his passing. She helped bathe the patient, comfort the patient's wife and went above and beyond to show empathy. She truly exhibits what it means to be a Mercy Health Nurse and I can only hope to one day be as caring of a person as Jordyn. She inspired me today!
