Jorge provides strong leadership to Module 2. Over this last year, he has improved the cohesiveness, teamwork, and organization in his module. Staff is working well together and supporting one another. Jorge honestly believes and supports "patient's first" and strives to meet the needs of patients with whom he interacts. For example, when working with back office messages, instead of having patients call the Call Center for an appointment if he can help and make the appointment he does.
He encourages his team to consider all patients coming in as "our" patients, not working in a silo focusing only on my provider's patients. Jorge is seen as an expert and his peers seek him out for assistance in providing nursing care, whether it is a second opinion or wound care, he willingly steps in. Jorge strives to ensure nursing standards are met, volunteering to speak at our Provider's meetings to in-service physicians on what is needed for med and IV orders to meet nursing and regulatory standards. He brings concerns to the DA's attention with solutions or P&Ps to resolve them.
