I got a phone call recently from a patient about his interaction with Jorine Olson. She was his nurse in August when he had an emergent endoscopy. While talking with Jorine prior to the procedure, he told her he was very anxious about the procedure and explained that he needed to get home to care for his 94 year old father. She volunteered to go check on his dad, which he thought she was just being nice. She insisted and so he "relented and gave her my address and phone number".

Jorine not only went and checked on the patient's dad, but she also walked and fed the dog. The patient's dad was so worried that she packed him up with his walker and brought him to the hospital to see his son and assure him that he was going to be alright.

As the patient described it, Jorine surely went above and beyond. He was amazed that there are people like her in the world today.
