Jose places patients on bedpans, helps with documentation, and administers meds. He gowns up and places himself at risk to help RRT COVID patients. He is still a nurse even though he is our manager.
Jose has gone way above his duties as our manager. Prior to Covid, he was able to support his staff within the hospital and out. During Covid, he has thrown himself in the line of fire between putting patients in Trendelenburg position to the multiple rapid responses throughout his units. He truly puts patients first.

Jose took on his role 3 years ago with little to no training. And learned everything on the fly. For the time I have been working with him, he is one of the most caring and hardworking people I know. For his staff, he is frequently rounding on us and ensuring we have everything we need to succeed. Most managers delegate tasks but not him. On multiple occasions, he places patients on bedpans, helps with documentation, and administers meds. He gowns up and places himself at risk to help RRT COVID patients. He is still a nurse even though he is our manager.
