My nurse today was phenomenal. Whilst there was a lot to do with my medical situation, it did not prevent him from helping me promptly. He was kind and courteous and, more importantly, he made himself knowledgeable about my 2 rare diseases. I have to use Diclofenac gel on my very painful knees, and he placed it on so gently that it didn't hurt to apply. He made sure I had enough water and diet soda and brought me towels to get cleaned up myself (which he did not have to do). He was able to answer my questions very politely and honestly. There was not a need I had this shift that he ignored, which is phenomenal. We need more nurses like this!
