Jose Lara, Senior Nursing student and President of SNA
Jose is president of the Student Nurse's Association at Arizona College of Nursing, a student ambassador, and a peer tutor. He goes out of his way to help other students feel welcome and included. Students say that he is always positive and challenges them with "friendly competition" to push them to "do better" in classes. It is said that "his positivity is contagious".
Faculty state that he comes prepared for class and displays an eagerness to learn. He assists others in the classroom with group projects and takes a leadership role, delegating tasks to others while assisting others with learning. Since beginning his journey in nursing school, "his confidence level has increased".
