Jose strives for student success and is very approachable with students engaging faculty. Jose is enrolled in the DNP Executive Leadership Program at Chamberlain University.

Since 2010 Jose has been the Founder and President of Backpacks of Dreams a non-Profit Foundation based in Miami for young baseball players in the Dominican Republic.
