As a staff member, it’s very essential to have teamwork and dedication towards patients. JR, as we call him, has shown excellence in everything. Being the only few staff left, he holds his unit strong. He not only holds the heaviest patient load but checks on everyone else. For someone who is nervous to float to COVID units, I feel confident when I know JR is here. He represents St. Luke’s with compassion, leadership, and humbleness. As a nurse, these traits are needed. JR exemplifies these and more. I am grateful to be a co-worker of JR and feel he is a true DAISY Nurse. To see his face as patients and families walk by would be an honor.
