I just want to say that every employee at CAMC memorial showed my family compassion, caring and top-notch care while my mother-in-law was in and out of the hospital the last two months before passing away in CPICU this morning. One nurse stood out among all the rest. Joey kept us informed of every aspect of the care my mother-in-law received. He explained every procedure and blood test to my family as it was being performed all the how and why questions were answered. He never failed to leave the room without asking "Do you have any questions? Do you need anything? Is there anything I can do?" Let me tell you he was a very busy man last night and into this morning, my mother-in-law's heart rate and BP were all over the place like a roller coaster ride. He stuck with it he was in the room more than he was away. He laughed at my father-in-law's corny jokes and answered every question he threw at him. My father in law struggled with the decision to remove my mother-in-law from the vent, but this nurse was kind and patient. He made us feel like our loved one was his only patient, I myself am a nurse and I know we were not his only patient but he went above and beyond in the care he provided and to him, I want to say thank you!!! Your facility is lucky to have him caring for your patients and treating them like family.
