Super Nurse. We have gotten great care this trip from Kaiser Permanente. My daughter came into ER and I thought it would be a simple fix and go home but it was not the case. She had a brain mass show up on CT. This was devastating since she and I both had (BRCA) Breast Cancer, from then on it was a roller coaster ride. Today my daughter had surgery - it's no mets to a low-grade tumor. She was worried about surgery because she gets so nauseated and after surgery, she was in fact in severe pain and nauseous. Thanks to Joe and his experience as an RN in Neurology at UCLA, he was able to get medications for my daughter and she is sleeping peacefully. He knew because of his experience on what to suggest and it worked. I have worked for Kaiser as a Nurse Practitioner for the past 15+ years and I would love to have the opportunity to work with someone like Joe who can perceive the problem and take action to help.
