I am currently pregnant, and while I was at work, I became hypertensive, started having a headache, and got dizzy. I got extremely nervous and called my OB office, but they were unavailable. I decided to come to the emergency department, and Joseph was my nurse.

Not only did he treat me, but he also reassured me, held my hand, looked into my eyes, and calmed my soul. He showed me what a true nurse should be like. He made sure I knew every step of the way what was going on, and even though he didn’t have all the answers, he made sure he got them and got back to me immediately.

Not only was I okay, but so was my baby, and I am beyond grateful to him. He is an exemplary nurse, and truly someone who should be emulated and truly deserves this DAISY Award.
