My daughter went into the PCU for an infusion after surgery. Nurse Joe came in and explained the drugs the doctor ordered.
We suddenly realized that this drug was a drug my daughter decided not to take because of the possible side effects. He immediately contacted the doctor and got an alternative drug she could take. He was so attentive to her needs and her sensitivities. He truly listened, and we felt heard. That is so special to find in a nurse!
She had incontinence issues, and he was able to stay ahead of us by providing the things she needed. Not too many nurses were able to keep up with my daughter's incontinence!
