We appreciated that Joey got down to our Dad's level to always look him in the eyes and reassure him when he couldn’t move much by himself.
In mid-November, our father was admitted to Loyola University Medical Center with a challenging diagnosis that was incredibly debilitating emotionally, physically, and mentally. He struggled to understand what was going on and he was quite a difficult patient. My family felt bad for the nurses, so we tried to be present as much as possible to help ensure he was safe. His prognosis was poor, but we wanted to make sure we provided him with the best possible outcome for as long as we could. There were many sleepless nights, followed by many long trying days in the Neuro ICU.

Our day became brighter when Joey entered our lives. Joey was an excellent nurse and really took the time to help my dad any way he could. We appreciated that he got down to our Dad's level to always look him in the eyes and reassure him when he couldn’t move much by himself. Joey dealt with our dad during a very physically and emotionally trying time and provided him with excellent care through it all. We appreciated his help and attention so much.

Our Dad made it to Thanksgiving and is still with us today. We hope he makes it to Christmas because that was his goal. Bless all of you for your commitment to caring for others, and bless you Joey, and for being the DAISY in our world.
