When Joe started his shift, my sister had extremely high levels of ammonia. She was totally out of it. Joe explained what type of treatment she would receive and what we could expect. Throughout her state of confusion, Joe treated her like a loved one. When she started getting relief, Joe perked her up by telling her that he was seeing the smile on her face that he had heard about. Joe was so supportive to my sister's sons by explaining what was going on. He talked on our level and not a bunch of medical terms that we couldn't understand.
