Joseph Orozco took care of my husband's grandfather at the beginning of this semester while he was in the ICU. The health status of my grandfather-in-law was poor at that time, and the family was very anxious of his prognosis. Joseph was very comforting to the family, making them feel at peace in the ICU setting. He was very patient in the care he provided to my grandfather-in-law with regard to helping him eat and taking his medications. My husband stated that Joseph's people skills and bedside manner were impeccable. The family was requesting to have Joseph back the following day. Another comment from my family was that Joseph exemplified what a nurse should be, and TJC can be very proud to have such a fine student represent them in the hospital. As faculty in this nursing program, I was proud to be able to come to work and speak so highly of Joseph to his professor and give an account of the positive impact he made on my family and grandfather-in-law.
