Skyler took care of me for 2 nights while I was in the ICU. Skyler's sole goal was to make sure I was comfortable! I had numerous wires attached to me and it was very difficult to get comfortable to sleep because of the stress and unknown outcome of my heart issues. Skyler would come in and change my bedding, making sure my covers were the way I liked them. One night, Skyler came in and completely changed all my bedding and even got me a sheet to cover me with. How great it was to have a sheet under the blankets! One night when my heart rate had dropped to an all-time low of 29 he came in and woke me up so that my heart rate would be higher. Nighttime toilet issues were a real burden for me and Skyler made sure that I was accommodated in my quest to have some stability in my bathroom needs. Skyler is a very intelligent person and so he is able to relate to a variety of patients. Skyler has two Master's Degrees and that makes him able to converse with all kinds of patients. The trait that Skyler will be most remembered for is his kindness and willingness to always go the extra mile.

As the evening closed, I could just see the care in Skyler's face, I could feel the empathy. He was asking how I wound up here and what brought me to this point. It was involving me and himself. He was genuinely asking me how I felt. It just got better as we spoke. He really cares. It's just not talk. He made me feel it's gonna be okay. It was overwhelming that he wanted to be involved in my care. The hospital is better off having him here. Skyler was hands down more than attentive.

Thank you, Joseph, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
