We would like to nominate our supervisor, Joseph Wilson. Joseph is an asset not only to this organization but to our department. He is an empathetic, compassionate, dedicated, and experienced nurse leader. Joseph started his career in radiology as a tech in the Bronx, NY. According to his lovely wife, he continued his studies and became a CT tech after a few years at NY Presbyterian Hospital. In 2009, he became a nurse. All of his prior experience in radiology affords him the opportunity to thoroughly understand all aspects of our department. He is an excellent resource for nurses, techs, and physicians.

Joseph is not only our supervisor; he also serves as the unit coordinator, where he collaborates closely with all the imaging modalities, their leaders, techs, and physicians. He has a ton of responsibilities and seems to handle them well, despite the hundreds of distractions and times he's pulled away from the central desk to help with patients or physician-physician communications. He never complains or denies helping whenever needed. Joseph goes above and beyond for his staff, co-workers, and patients. He even helps with patient transport during times when the transport team is backed up. Joseph is not only a dedicated leader but also a team player and role model. We strongly believe Joseph is deserving of this recognition for the DAISY Nure Leader Award.
