Josh went above and beyond what is required of any nurse. Our mother was admitted for vascular surgery. Surgery went well and she was sent to the CVICU after surgery. She got septic and was placed on a ventilator and dialysis. After all attempts at saving her life, she was sent to Palliative Care and passed away soon after being taken to Palliative Care. Throughout her stay, Josh was her nurse several of those days. Our dad stayed with our mother most of the day and he really became attached to Josh. He would always say he is so good, "he works on her around the clock". He interacted with her, my father, and all of the family. Anytime we would call or come by to check on her he would be very thorough in updating us on her progress. On the day that she was taken to Palliative Care, he helped her nurse that day take her down. He hugged my father and my wife and told them how sorry he was and how bad he hated that it had come to this. He even posted on the obituary tribute wall for my mother. His clinical skill was extraordinary and his compassionate care makes him a true DAISY Nurse.
