Josh Glass, RN
I was in Destin, FL, when my mom was taken to Southeast Health via ambulance. Josh, with permission, got on the phone with me and explained my mom's condition to me. He was kind and thorough.
I met Josh in person that afternoon. His kindness stuck with me. Before he left for the day, I witnessed him calm my mother, hold her hand, and reassure her that the night shift nurse would care for her until he returned the following morning.
My husband and I visited many times over the course of my mom's hospitalization. We constantly witnessed his compassion with my mother.
I am currently writing this while traveling home from making funeral arrangements for my mom. Although the outcome wasn't what we hoped for, I will forever be thankful for Josh and his level of care and compassion.
Some people were just born to be a nurse - Josh is one of those people. He has a true gift of being able to connect with his patients and their families. Josh cared for my mother, and my mother cared about Josh.

With the exacerbation of her chronic lung disease and the anxiety that would get extreme at times, Josh continued to be calm, soothing, and extremely caring for the past three days.
He never rushed. He took his time while providing care and explaining everything to the many family members visiting.

My mother’s care needed lots of attention, and he displayed it with kindness and compassion. He gave us all the details of what he was doing, why he was doing it, and how it would help her.
He explained to her and the family each little detail and always asked if there were any questions. He listened and answered each question as honest and polite as possible.
He went above and beyond every time he came on shift. We felt at peace knowing we were leaving the hospital with her in his care.

Josh was always going above the normal call of duty to ensure his patient was comfortable.
