Josh went above and beyond not only for our father, but for our family. We had Josh as a nurse when we first got to the department. During this time our world was full of unknowns with a long process ahead of us. Josh helped us understand what was going on and spent more time than he had to make sure that we had a full understanding of everything he was doing and the medications he was giving. He was also very compliant and able to explain how the stroke was affecting our dad when we were confused about why our dad was doing certain things. He made us feel like we were on the same level and gave us comfort in a very uncomfortable situation. I felt like our dad was being taken care of by a lifelong friend and the peace that gave us could not be understated.

Under Josh’s care, our dad was in some new uncomfortable, and demanding situations that he had never experienced before. His bedside manner was probably his best ability. Josh made sure to comfort our dad and make sure that he knew it was not his fault which calmed his nerves and built him back up. Josh was our angel and made the stressful situations we were in turn into positive moments, he has for sure found his calling in being a nurse. It was clear to see that his care was genuine and that he truly wanted the best outcome for our dad.
