He made me feel like family and not a patient.
Josh was nominated by an ICU patient: "Josh was with me on my first day in ICU and then I was still there when he came back for a 3-day shift. I was scared from the start, but Josh's warm and attentive personality calmed me. I felt like we were kindred spirits from the start. He patiently answered all the questions I had, and my daughter and husband, as well. He motivated us with his spirit to remain hopeful and positive. He made me feel like family and not a patient. I was moved to a regular floor while he was off. When he returned, he came to check on me several times to see how I was doing. My family and I were so touched by that. My husband does not like to show emotion, but with a kind touch on the shoulder, Josh helped him release and shed a few tears. Josh was such a blessing, and we cannot say enough good things about him!"
