Josh made sure that my kids were able to visit and even set me up with a child life specialist who is so helpful in guiding my talking points.
I was transferred from Aurora late Tuesday night after learning that I had multiple myeloma. I have only ever been an Aurora patient and have worked for Aurora for 13 years. I was so nervous to leave my comfort but knew my life was on the line and wanted the best treatment and access to the best specialty care I could get. I was immediately emotional on arrival. I was scared alone and in shock at my new diagnosis.

Josh was my nurse and he was so calm so supportive, so helpful, such a great listener. I told him that being a nurse having access to my online account was so important for me so that I could see my labs in real-time with my own eyes. He immediately got me signed up for the online portal. I also really wanted my children to visit because I hadn’t had the chance to tell my 16-year-old son what was going on. Telling him in person was very important to me. Josh made sure that my kids were able to visit and even set me up with a child life specialist who is so helpful in guiding my talking points. I was so lucky to have Josh three nights in a row. He was such a comforting blessing to me in the hardest part of my life. He is forever special in my heart and I hope the organization realizes what an amazing nurse they have! Thank you so much, Josh, for the difference that you made in my life!
