Josh Perlas goes above and beyond for his patients. My aunt has Stage 4 cancer and controlling her pain without going overboard with her medications was a big concern for me because her pain is so aggressive and the medications she was being given were extremely strong. Josh really listened to my concerns and wanted to help my aunt manage her pain, while keeping her at a safe dosing level.
The second night my aunt was here he was her nurse, and she was on more meds than the day before and I had spent most of the afternoon concerned it was too much medication for her because she was very different than the day before. When Josh came into her room when he started his shift I told him about my concerns and he automatically started assessing her and helping her get the proper amounts of medications, and he checked on her around the clock. Soon enough my aunt started to seem more like herself and less overly medicated.
As my aunt's caretaker, I am with her for all her hospital stays and never have I come across someone who has more compassion and dedication for their patients. If I or my aunt ever had a question regarding her health, Josh was always happy to help keep us informed. We never felt like a bother to him. He was always very kind and patient with my aunt even though she doesn't speak much English. We always felt comfortable asking him how we could meet her needs, from dietary guidelines to her mobility. I could not have asked for a more respectful, kind, caring and dedicated nurse.
