I live in Boone but I recently changed providers to Maxwell because I heard great things about the PA-C here, specifically that she takes time to actually really listen to the patient. At my first appointment, I not only really “clicked” with my new provider but the nurse, Josh. He and the provider together make me feel loved and comfortable. I was having a really bad morning a few weeks back and I accidentally dropped a medication I really needed in the toilet. My first thought was, to call Josh because he’ll be my calming voice and help me. Josh definitely helped calm me but then he was hit with roadblocks when he called the pharmacy as insurance would not cover the medication because it had been too soon of a refill. Josh took the time to put me as his priority and updated me that he would keep working on this. Insurance ended up paying because Josh kept advocating and proving them with the information they needed. His calm nature is compelling to me. He genuinely cares about my well-being. I never feel stupid for asking for his help. I also really like his fun personality!
