I was working in triage and didn't feel well, had a bad headache. I walked to the charge nurse desk and by the time I got there I could not make a complete sentence. Josh "threw me" in a wheelchair and went straight to CT scan. When I came out of CT he started a line and had the tele neuro already up. When I got to the room, the speed at which I was taken care of, and TNK was given allowed me to continue being a nurse. I consider Josh my guardian angel.

My husband was brought into the ER via ambulance with a STEMI. This was a very scary time for the whole family as two cardiac alerts arrived at the same time. I want to recognize Josh Rodgers RN, he had everything ready, he had the pads on the patient and the epinephrine ready. He helped me as a nurse to be calm because I knew he was prepared for a code situation. Josh also ran and got an epinephrine drip as we were waiting for cath lab. Josh showed the utmost care at the right time, and that is what is most important. Josh's calm approach in a crisis situation helped my family and me stay calm, and it helped my husband stay calm. Josh showed the utmost compassion in our family's time of need. Christus needs more Joshs in the Emergency Department.

Thank you, Josh, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
