Josh Valbuena, BSN, RN

My mother and our family are so grateful for the care she received from nurse Josh Valbuena. He was friendly and kind, not only to Mom, but to her roommate as well. It was evident that he truly cared for the well-being of his patients and was not simply there to dispense medication and check vitals. He made a personal connection with Mom and made her feel valued. Josh was my mother’s nurse for two days of her week-long hospitalization. He made certain that she had everything in place that she needed on her day of discharge. This included following up with the parties connected to her oxygen provider when they had failed to contact us prior to discharge. He reviewed the discharge instructions with me in person as well as my niece on speaker phone and graciously answered all of our questions. When my mother’s local pharmacy failed to have one of her new medications, Josh arranged for the prescription to be filled by the hospital pharmacy so my mother had what she needed when she arrived home. Josh Valbuena is an exemplary nurse.
