My 18-year-old son was going through a very difficult time mentally and emotionally. We had to take him to CPEP and have many follow-up appointments. At his follow-up with the doctor, we met Josh. He is only a few years older than my son. He showed great compassion and respect for my son and what he was experiencing. Josh reached out and offered to take my son hiking to help him find something healthy to focus on. Josh inspired a love of hiking which has greatly helped my son heal from his pandemic-inspired anxiety and depression. Today my son is happy, healthy and an avid hiker. Josh is a DAISY Nurse because being a nurse is more than a job to him. He truly helps his patients heal.
