February 2026 Honoree
Joshua Napier, RN
When I first got here, I was in a very bad place. I wanted to die. Josh came into my room and crouched in the corner with me, and as he talked, it comforted me. He explained the unit in a way that made me feel so much better. He said, ‘We are emotional firefighters, our job is to put out the fire, and right now you’re burning.’ Thank you so much, Josh. I don’t think you realize how much this statement helped me.
Thank you, Joshua, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
