Josiah S Wedgwood, MSN, RN

Josiah is a great example of what a nurse in a leadership role should look like. He comes in early every morning at around 0600 and asks each team member who is working the night shift how the shift was for them and if we needed anything from him. He is always so vibrant and positive during huddles. He gives criticism in a way that doesn’t put you down. He doesn’t even hesitate to answer patient call lights, which I have never seen done by a leader more than a director. Josiah is a great listener. You can tell he is fully focused on you when you ask him a question. He embodies what a nurse at VM should look like. Someone who puts the patient first, someone who goes above and beyond for his patients and his coworkers.
