I have worked with Josie for the last decade in the CBC at UWNW and have always been impressed by her and the care she provides for her patients. Josie was a pediatrician before she came to us and has worked in our neonatal care unit and our postpartum unit. She brings an enormous amount of experience and knowledge to our team. Josie is always consistent, dependable, a team player, a kind spirit, and has a wonderful heart. She isn't the loudest person in the room, but her presence is definitely felt by all. I feel Josie is a DAISY Nurse mainly due to her unfailingly reliable and stable presence. Josie will respond to any emergency, even if it's a laboring patient. She is willing to help whenever asked and always has a positive happy attitude. Her smiling face brings such a joy to our unit. Her knowledge of normal newborns and postpartum care, as well as providing neonatal care for our preterm or newborns requiring intensive care is one that our unit can't replicate. She has shared her expertise by training so many of our newer nurses, mentoring them with kindness, and passing along a lifetime of experience and tips so they can excel in this unique specialty. I am so grateful that Josie has chosen our unit to call home and would love to see her acknowledged for all her hard work and dedication.
