Josilin Midtgaard, RN

I had the privilege of having Josilin as my nurse for my entire stay at the maternity center. As a first-time parent, I had a wide range of emotions, questions, and concerns. Josilin did an amazing job making sure I got all of my questions answered, was empathetic to the wide range of emotions I was experiencing, made sure all my needs were met and displayed great patience/care. Not only were all of my expectations exceeded during my stay, but Josilin also made sure that she took the time to sit with me to review my discharge plan to ensure that I had everything I needed to be a successful parent upon discharge from the hospital.

As there was a snowstorm coming on the day of discharge, I also really appreciated Josilin scheduling the car seat test and vital checks for the early morning so my family could make it home safely before the storm. Josilin’s empathy, compassion, communication skills, and ability to advocate for her patient’s best interests make her the perfect candidate for this award.
