This summer, I will have been working with Josue Padilla for five years. From the moment we first connected, Josue was clear about his desire to help people and immediately jumped into multiple new facilities through the state of Georgia's COVID crisis plan. The ever humble Mr. Padilla would tell you he was just doing his job, but the truth is, he was jumping right into the fire to help where he was most needed. Several patients and managers have commented on his "calming spirit," and he has received permanent staff offers from multiple locations, as no manager ever wants to let him leave. His manager at Southeast Georgia - Brunswick Campus told us, "Josue is an amazing nurse, he is always willing to help out with coverage, and we can count on him to provide excellent care to all his patients," before stealing him away for a permanent role. Now, back in the traveling world, moving 3000+ miles away for his next assignment in Washington, a change in facility ownership cut his assignment months short. Having just moved across the country with a new baby, he had every reason to be in panic mode. But just like he did with his patients during the COVID chaos, he kept his worrywart recruiter calm and was open to multiple redirect options, making himself flexible on rate, location, and shift time to make sure his family was taken care of. After five years, I consider Josue a friend and truly admire his courage, humble mindset, and tenacity as both a nurse and a father. We're proud to have him as part of the Stability family.
