Jovanna visited a patient she cared for earlier in the week who was facing difficult end-of-life decisions. The patient and family were very happy to see her and told her that her voice was so soothing she must be a singer - which she is. They persuaded her to sing and the patient was so touched that he asked her to sing the same song at his funeral. This was such a lovely example of a novice nurse forming a bond with a critically ill patient and his wife, to provide a small measure of comfort.
