Jovy stands out as a great leader for her team and is a very caring RN for her patients. She always speaks up and advocates for what’s best for the patients as well as the staff. She will fight for what’s right for the patient, assuring her patients get the absolute best care while they are within the department, as well as within the hospital.  

The nurse went the extra mile and demonstrated a higher level of care and concern to a patient’s family. There was a complicated STAT case, and Jovy happened to be the RN on call. The family was in the waiting room to say their last goodbyes. Knowing how difficult and devastating it is to lose a family member, she assured the patient and family members were given the care, sympathy, and empathy they deserve. While the family was grieving for their loss, Jovy was by their side, continuously comforting them and somewhat easing their way. She lived every moment of that pain with the family while trying to make sure she stayed strong for them and guided them through by being present in that moment.  
  
Jovy is one of those nurses who always has a big, welcoming smile on her face. She always stops when she sees someone who needs help or guidance and kindly provides help and support. She practices servant leadership, where she puts her own wants and needs aside and assures both her team and her patients are treated fairly, cared for with the absolute best treatment, and shown the utmost respect, dignity, and integrity.
