I am a patient with lymphedema after cervical cancer. My roommate was a patient and quite unhappy. Then a nurse was walking by and heard her complaining, so Jovie jumped in and asked her, "How can I help?" She stayed for almost two hours and alerted other staff.

She spoke gently and clearly to the patient and calmed her down. She advised other medical staff and helpers as she moved through the process. I was feeling neglected, and was so impressed by Jovie that I calmed down. I am likely to stay with Kaiser.
