I have been struggling with lymphedema following cervical cancer. My roommate was a patient and quite unhappy when a nurse was walking by and heard her complaining, so Jovie jumped in and asked her, "How can I help you"? Jovie stayed for almost 2 hours and alerted other staff. She spoke gently and clearly to the patient and calmed her down. She advised other medical staff, the NP, and helpers as she moved through the problems. I was feeling neglected, also and was so impressed by Jovie that I calmed down and wanted Kaiser to know that I am likely to stay with Kaiser because of her.
