Jowana, although still a junior in her department, has already made a huge and positive impact on the lives of her patients. According to one of them, “I was afraid before I went for surgery to reduce my weight. Jowana was there to explain to me the procedure to ease my apprehension. She is an angel of mercy.”

Another patient also appreciated her by saying, I was admitted for 10 days on the 4th floor. Nurse Jowana visited me with a lot of positivity. I was afraid at first but when she talked to me, I was not afraid anymore. She also communicated well with my family to ease our anxiety. Thank you, Jowana.”

Her nurse supervisors further added that she works very diligently by making sure all her patients' needs are attended to. She also helps out her colleagues whenever she can. Moreover, she is assertive, has a great sense of initiative, and is collaborative as well. She deserves to be recognized and appreciated with the DAISY Award indeed.
