Joy Carpenter, RN
Because I know she won't brag about herself, I wanted to brag about her. We had a woman from India who wanted to go AMA really badly, even though she wasn't medically safe to do so. One of her main complaints was that she couldn't eat the food here because it wasn't Indian food. So, Joy had some Indian food delivered and brought to the patient. It made her feel so good, and she gushed about Joy and how kind she was for doing that. It really showed a great heart, and I just wanted to pass it along.

Joy is always thinking about her patients. This month alone, she had flowers delivered to her, and a patient had a picture of Joy's dog painted for her. She is always going above and beyond.

Joy was attending to my sister, who had just spent the past 3 days in the ICU. She had not been eating well nor did she feel like eating. Joy went above and beyond and brought in Indian food for my sister. This was totally unexpected, and we truly appreciated her compassion and caring.
