A Firefighter Paramedic with the City of Henderson submitted the nomination for Joy. He shared, in his capacity as a Paramedic (more than 13 years) it has been a privilege to work with the personnel in the emergency rooms across the valley. He commended the entire St. Rose emergency room staff. The staff has always made them feel welcome and work wonderfully with their team.
He mentioned over the years, the efforts of one Charge Nurse, in particular, Joy Hilton, has really shined above the rest. It doesn't matter how busy the hospital is, she will always greet all EMS with a smile, even if behind a mask. When it comes to striving for outstanding patient care and customer service, she is a true team player.
I have witnessed both her leadership and her team spirit with numerous patients from the most critical, or even just helping a grandma be comfortable as she passes on from this world. Joy is always so kind, compassionate, and loving to all patients, she exemplifies outstanding internal and external customer service.
