Her institutional knowledge of FAU and the College of nursing is unmatched and she shares that wisdom in caring ways that keep each of our programs sound and equitable to all students.
I have known Dr. Longo for 8 years and more recently as co-Assistant Deans for the college of nursing for 2 years. In these last two years, I have witnessed her exceptional commitment to the faculty and students of the CELCON. She transitioned from the Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs in the summer of 2020, as the pandemic was just starting to impact our educational processes. I have observed as she has encountered countless obstacles related to ensuring the quality of our programs yet continues to brainstorm creative ways to approach each challenge. I have had the privilege of learning from her and being mentored in my role. She has invested countless hours with me as a mentor and is always available to process any situation, offer solutions, and support me on my admirative journey.
Her institutional knowledge of FAU and the College of nursing is unmatched and she shares that wisdom in caring ways that keep each of our programs sound and equitable to all students. There is not a policy or process question that she does not have the answer to or know where to find the answer. Although it has not been easy, she has worked tirelessly for our students always ensuring fairness among all students. She has worked with onboarding of faculty and mentoring someone who has stepped into a new interim role as a previous person vacated the roll mid-semester. Dr. Longo exemplifies dedication to students from both a faculty and administrator role. She also leads in the College of Nursing by serving as the CELCON representative to the FAU Senate ensuring the CELCON voice is heard. In conclusion, it has been a pleasure to work alongside Dr. Longo and experience her dedication to the success and support of students.
