My mother was in the ER twice within a month with acute leg pain related to a bulging disc, and a second time due to an unresponsive episode she had at physical therapy. I believe my mom declined after having taken care of me for a few weeks after my shoulder surgery.
Joy took care of my mom the first ER visit. Not only did she take great care of my mom, but she also took care of me! Bringing me ice for my shoulder and the best coffee to drink. She has a way about her, a soothing personality and fun sense of humor to make a stressful situation easier. I always felt safe and that my mother was in the best hands when Joy was there. Not intentionally, I even overheard her interact with other patients in the ER and I just want to say wow! The second ER visit, she checked on us and again brought me ice and coffee! It's the little things the make a nurse great! And she is awesome!
