Joya is the definition of compassionate. She goes above and beyond for her patients on a daily basis. There are many moments where this compassion is displayed. One moment that sticks out the most is when she helped her patient get a ride for discharge. She went above and beyond. She attempted to call family and friends to no avail. She called case management to try and get a ride. The patient could not afford EMS, so she took her hard-earned money and paid for an Uber for him to get home safely, so he did not have to walk, which he had done before.
