I have never seen a nurse so determined and loving. Joyce didn’t stop until she made my daughter feel better and she accomplished her goal.
My 30 year old daughter had a spinal tap done during delivery and had several complications afterwards. She was able to go home but needed to take medications for high blood pressure with which she had trouble. After three days at home, she was having bad headaches. She fell in her kitchen due to her blood pressure rising we believe and began to have seizures. The ambulance arrived after calling 911 and she was taken to the hospital. Once she finally arrived at Baptist Women’s Hospital, she was getting the best care. The next day, we met this Extraordinary Nurse as we were moved to the third floor and her name is Joyce Malone. Joyce was sent from God himself to take care of my daughter. Nurse Joyce saw that my daughter was still having headaches and the lower part of her neck and tongue due to the seizures. Nurse Joyce was on a mission to make things better for my baby. Next thing you know she got orders from the doctor to try a new medication to ease the head pains. To hear my baby say that her head was a little better was refreshing to me. Nurse Joyce gave her the same medications to also heal the pain in her tongue. I have never seen a nurse so determined and loving. She didn’t stop until she made my daughter feel better and she accomplished her goal. I want to thank Nurse Joyce for everything she did to make my baby girl feel so much better.
