Joyce was not in my group but next to mine. When my group was overwhelmed by a very difficult patient, and my light was on longer than usual, she answered and asked if she could help. She had no way of knowing if I wanted fresh water or had a big problem. When I explained I was anxious because my IV seemed to be leaking, she smiled and said oh this is easy to take care of, nothing to worry about. She removed everything but the IV, patted me dry, and replaced the cap and dressing. She smiled and was gently reassuring the whole time. A lovely angel who came when I needed her. She said we are all a team and we help each other out. If you need anything, please turn on your light, and I will make sure you get an answer, even if your team is tied up with a patient who is having difficulty. She was cool, calm, reassuring, soft-spoken, and efficient – with a lovely smile. Very soothing, this whole floor is great! I have no complaints about the wonderful team that cared for me.
