Joyce Parris, ADN, RN, WCC, CFCS

I first met Nurse Parris in 2008. I had a blood clot in my left leg that led to the amputation of my toes on my left foot and angioplasty on the same leg. The grand finale was an aortal femoral bypass. Needless to say, I was not in good shape. Nurse Parris always had a cheerful attitude and assured me I would heal. I was definitely depressed at the time. Her reassurance and cheerful persona gave me the hope that I so desperately needed. I could tell that she had empathy for my situation.

Fast forward to today. Nurse Parris has been treating me for nearly 15 years and has always been a "shining light" through multiple procedures and issues that have been incurred during this time. She continued to provide exemplary care not only for my feet, but also my emotional well-being.

Nurse Parris, "Joyce," is not just a care provider, but I also consider her my friend. The care and support she has given me have helped me to maintain and improve my quality of life. I have never been fond of going to the doctor, but I look forward to seeing Nurse Parris every few weeks. She has been and continues to be a major contributor to my overall health and well-being.
